Getting it together

With a new baby, new studio, new venues for my art... Mamma has been slacking in the blogging department. Sorry. :(
But everything is chugging right along in the Quack household and hopefully I can get back on that horse. New things to come in this upcoming year. Exciting!!

The heat is on

Ugh, the temperature is in upper 90's here in Colorado. It makes for hot lazy days in front of the fan. But today I am pulling it together and going to paint!! Something new, something fresh and summery!!

Well hello there SUMMER

It has hit the 100's here in Colorado. This kind of heat makes it hard to stay motivated. I look at a blank panel and say,"I could paint....but how about a cold ice tea first." and of course, half the day is gone because ice tea has to by followed by a nap. Oh well.
One good thing, I have delivered my prints to "I heart Denver". They look awesome!! I also have made signs for my "20% off sale" for Wagz the week if the 4th.
Busy bee but at least Redding is ready to kick it. Yeah!

Little escape to the northwest does a body good. Sea air and clam chowder!!! Nom nom nom!! Silly me forgot my sunscreen and burnt my face. But that is all part of the fun with these vacation trips. Once we get back it's paint paint paint because the commissions are piling up.

Spring has sprung!!

It feels good to be able to get out of the house and paint outside again. Ahhhhh!!!! I have been working on some commission works lately, here are a few peaks at them.

Harper

Our wedding photographer Kira (of Harper's Point) hired me to do a portrait of their dog Harper for her husband birthday. They are so awesome I was thrilled to do it!! Here is the painting in it's final touches...
